“I started at Biffa in January 2015 on CS team 8 where I immediately felt part of the Biffa family. I was on team 8 for over a year, I then moved to the Broker team which is a larger, very fast paced team. Everyone was really welcoming and the transition from team 8 to Brokers was easy and I had full support. Then a position came up on a new team, the JLP team (Team2). I put my name in for it and was successful, I have been on this team just over a year now. We now have the Co-Op account on our team and I enjoy being able to work on both accounts. We have a lot of SLA’s to adhere to, having challenges every day keeps us busy which I enjoy. Overall, coming to Biffa has been a real joy, not only does the company look after you, the staff here are so friendly!”

Training and Support:

• To support you in providing high quality customer service, Biffa provides a 12 month learning programme for all new customer service employees to help you build on your knowledge, skills and behaviour for the role.?
• Over the course of the year you will receive 40 days of learning specific to your work tasks and the waste industry. You will be required to document learning, be given the opportunity to build on your functional skills and receive plenty of support.

Working hours:

The working hours depend on what team you are on, see a breakdown below:

• Bank holidays: Double pay and a day off to be taken in lieu. Generally done on an "opt in" process. We are open on bank holidays but we have a lot of people volunteering to work due to the pay increase and the additional day off so we consider it an optional opportunity.
• Saturday: 8am - 1pm at time and a half pay, on an opt in basis as we have a lot of people volunteering to work

Corporate teams:

• Hours: Monday to Friday - 3 shifts, must have flexibility to do all shifts: • • 08:30 : 16:30
• • 09:00 : 17:00
• • 09:30 : 17:30

Municipal Team:

• Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30am - 5pm
