Job Purpose

Responsible for achieving agreed commercial targets. This will include growth of all shared I&C & Haz Waste corporate accounts, to ensure all developed business accounts are fully operational against all KPI’s and SLA’s, monitoring of all aspect of the overall profitability of shared identified developed accounts, MI and Invoice information is submitted on time and accurate, Bad Debt to be managed to ensure that all invoices are paid on time. To ensure budgeted margin levels are achieved. Identify and implement business strategies to enable New Business growth.

Principal Accountabilities

1 To deliver and exceed on budgetary targets

2 To ensure performance metrics in place to track account performance, profitability and growth

3 To develop the strategic growth plans via the introduction of all services offered by Hazardous waste

4 To consolidate and produce weekly/ monthly sales reports

5 To track and monitor all corporate accounts within your dedicated sectors and support bid management at retender stage.

6 To monitor and ensure company standards/policies are strictly adhered to

7 To liaise regularly with the Commercial Sales Manager, to determine and measure the performance against KPI’s & SLA’s of all corporate identified growth accounts

8 To drive and win new business from dedicated sectors within the hazardous waste business and alongside I&C utilising all hazardous waste offerings.

9 To communicate market intelligence to the business whilst supporting innovation within sales & product development.

10 To maintain an accurate and credible pipeline to ensure target results are delivered.

11 Any other duties reasonably requested and which are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job .

Nature and Scope

The Corporate Account Development Manager is accountable for developing new business growth in the Hazardous Waste industry alongside I&C sector specific corporate accounts. driving growth and retention and delivering on all KPI’s and SLA’s , ensuring there is on time MI reporting, zero bad debt and accurate invoices at all times and driving to deliver excellent service over the whole Biffa Haz Waste service offerings.

The planning horizons / timescales that are essential for this position include weekly and monthly sales reports, account management KPI and profitability reports, sales forecasting and pipeline management on a weekly basis.

The specialist, technical and managerial substance of the job include an excellent knowledge of hazardous waste with at least 4 years field sales or account management experience within the waste management industry. The ability to present and communicate at all levels and the ability to demonstrate a passion for driving new business, being a role model and driving long term relationships between our business and our I&C counterparts.

The autonomy that the Corporate Account Development Manager operates within includes the management of individual growth targets that are produced in connection with the group budget, day to day drive of profitability, Individual training development and over all implementation and achieving target is the responsibility of the Corporate Account Development Manager.

The constraints that are included within the job role include ensuring all growth, retention and new business targets are achieved, ensuring profitability of all accounts. Growth opportunities are completed, all sales personnel work to the letter of the law in connection to hazardous waste regulations and engage in all essential business changes to drive the overall business forward.

Person Specification

Education / Qualifications

GCSE Maths, English, use of Microsoft office packages and excel.

Experience

Minimum of 4 years field sales/ account management experience

Technical Knowledge

Hazardous waste industry knowledge

Organisational Skills

Communication and presentation skills to be a good communicator and able to present all levels

General

Full clean driving licence

Prepared to travel to other locations as and when required to attend meetings
